> "It is much appreciated, Reimu. Thank you. Truly. Farewell, all of you."
> Leave the Shrine, take flight, and head toward where the Human Village should be.
> Wow...
> Can we pick out the Myoure-er, Hijiri Temple?
>Can we pick out a tavern or any sort of public square?
> Might as well just fly ourselves all the way to the closest edge of the...town? Would it qualify as a city now? And land there, making our way in proper on foot.
>Before we do that, are there any other people in flight around the city, and if so, are they landing anywhere specific?
>Let's go to hovering height down at the edge then. Do there seem to be any obvious entrances with guards or anything of the like?
> Wait, this is the same place where we met Mira? Or was that another town?
> WELP
> Might as well fly toward that flying person, then.
> Get in speaking range.
> "Pardon me, Miss?"
> "Sorry, I'm new to this town. Can you tell me where the Hijiri Temple is?"
> "Thank you!"
> Head north-ish middle-of-town-ish.
> North
> Land again.
> Anyone in the immediate vicinity look not-too-busy?
> Closest street.
> Head over to the person in the alleyway.
> "Hello. I'm new to this town. Can you tell me where the Hijiri Temple is?"
> "Last I was aware, the matriarch was Byakuren Hijiri. It is apparently one of the oldest buildings here. Sadly, I know little more than that."
> Frown.
> "...Possibly? Could you point to where that would be, as the tengu flies?"
> "Thank you."
> Take flight and begin heading southeast, but ascend high enough that we can see a large enough chunk of the town that we can determine approximately where the middle of town is.
> Does our opinion of Yuyuko match that of Youmu, given it was exceedingly likely Yuyuko gave an order?
> Head to that area, and land in the street.
> What is the name of the cloth retailer?
> Does anyone around look particularly not-busy?
> Get out of the middle of the road onto a sidewalk or whatever else is available.
> North
> "Hm?"
> Turn toward the tugger with a quizzical look.
> Put on a look of mild shock.
> "Rumia...? Rumia, is that you?"
> "Rumia! You haven't changed one bit. Can you tell me where the Hijiri Temple is?"
> "Can you take me there? I don't have any candy right now, but I might be able to get some later."
> Have we given her candy in the past?
> Nod.
> "Promise."
> Follow!
>Pet Rumia too.
>"So how have you been ?"
> "Oh, nice. How was it?"
> Nod.
> "I see. That makes sense."
> Grimace and look away.
> "It...wasn't my decision. Or theirs. It's weird. I'll explain when we get to the temple. There's someone there I need to see."
> Shake head.
> "I do not have any food with me right now, sorry."
> "I will keep that in mind."
> Exhale.
> "Thank you, Rumia. Let see who is here, shall we?"
> Brace ourselves for a quite-possibly-very-painful sight, and then enter the Temple.
> "As you wish."
> Okay, NOW enter.
> "Hello. Is this the Hijiri Temple?"
> "Actually, I am here to possibly meet an old friend. May I ask your name?"
> "A former resident of the old Scarlet Devil Mansion. It is my understanding that it has...not been around for several centuries."
> It burned down?? Eeeeeuuugghhh okay no no no don't dwell on this. We have a job to do.
> Follow!
> Here we go...
> Put on an apologetic, uncertain frown, and enter the room.
> Inhale.
> Exhale.
> "...How you've grown, Young Mistress."
> Slowly walk toward Flan.
> Return the hug.
> "Young Mistress..."
> Tear up a bit.
> "I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry for doing this to all of you!"
> Pull our head back a little bit and look Flandre in the eyes.
> "I didn't mean to. I...something strange happened in the library that day. Keine was buried in books, and a shelf was about to fall on her, so I stopped time to dig her out before it fell. Then...the pressure became too much, and I...blacked out. When I woke up, I was in a forest in...Avalon, I have come to learn the place is called. It took me a few hours to get from there...and now I am here."
> Nod.
> "I would never leave my beloved family of my own volition."
> Pat her on the back.
> "Yes, Young Mistress."
> "Young Mistress...do you know where everyone else is?"
> Is Meiling just a human (I legit forget >.>)
>"In...one way or another?"
> Is Meiling just a human (I legit forget >.>)
> Shake head.
> "I can only hope she survived."
> "Mistress...just left you all?"[/quote]
>"So nobody knows where the Mistress went ? ......or why she left ?"
>Look down.
>"I....see.... i just hope she's well.... Young Mistress, do you know what happened to Meiling or Patchouli ?"
>Hey, uh, have our time stopping powers ever, like, interacted with Keine before? Particularly touching her while time is stopped? What about touching her while time is stopped while she is using her own powers?
> Look wistful.
> "So...Meiling is...gone..."
> "...Did...do you know if she ever found someone else?"
> "Ah, well..."
> Look to the side and blush a bit.
> "...Yes, there is. Uh, was. Whatever. But...if she was happy in the end, then that's good."
>"Also...where is that dojo she created at ? And would you know where she was buried ? I want to.... ask for forgiveness, i made her search and worry for me all that time..."
> "I see. It seems I have much to do here. But all this is...very overwhelming, admittedly. I realize this will be asking a lot of you, Young Mistress, but...may I request your company on my journey to right this wrong?"
> What names do we know of those that dwell in the Myouren Temple, or is very closely related to those that dwell there?
> Do we know of anyone that dwells in the Myouren Temple or is very closely related to those that dwell there whose name we do NOT know?
> Frown.
> "I see...who else is here, then?"
> "Ah, that is at least a name I know. But..."
> Look a bit uncomfortable.
> "...The reality of the situation is that I have no idea where anything or anyone is anymore. Except for Reimu, who I have already talked to, everything is new and unknown to me."
> Sad frown for a moment, then sigh.
> "That would be most appreciated, yes."
> Nod.
> "What other locations have changed in name or construct?"
> Do we know where the entrance to the Underground is?
> "Do you know anything about Nue Houjuu?"
> "And...is there anything on the land where our home used to be?"
> "I assume this is actual Apex? Where is that?"
> Do we know how to get to Bhavagra?
> "Huh...do the tengu allow this?"
> "I see. How fascinating."
> Purse our lips.
> "That reminds me. Reimu did say I would have some luck in my mission in Bhava-agra. You are certain that you cannot at least travel that far with me?"
> "I think so. Miss Nagae resides there."
> "Oh, that's true...does the Temple have one you can use?"
> Turn back to Elise.
> "By the way, Elise, I must apologize for not realize who you are."
> Smile.
> "Congratulations on your youkaidom. And thank you for staying with the Young Mistress all this time."
> "Of course. You haven't seen me since you were..."
> Bend over at put our hand at puppy-Elise's head height.
> "...about this tall."
> "I suppose that makes sense. It has been quite a while."
> "I am glad you feel this way."
>"Umm... may i pet you for old times sake ? It`s been a good while...."
>If she allows it, pet her gently.
> "A shame. Well, with any luck, perhaps I will be able to someday, once this wrong is righted."
> "Now then, Young Mistress, are you ready to go?"
> "Very well. Let us depart."
> Exit the Temple.
> Is Rumia anywhere?
> "Come to think of it, is Byakuren still around, or possibly Shou?"
> "And who is this?"
> "A Bodhisattva, huh? Is that why Reimu tells me this place has more or less buried the hatchet with Lady Toyosatomimi and her companions?"
>"Intriguing, yet i suppose it could have been expected as much. Oh, there`s Rumia... would you have some candy with you ?"
>"And who is this ?" Point towards the Kitsune.
> "We will need to find candy somewhere, then. That was my desk with Rumia so she would serve as a guide."
> "Excellent. Is there a certain section of town that primarily sells foodstuffs?"
> "I suppose we could leave finding a still to the requestor."
> Walk over to Rumia.
> "Of course not. Why would it be?"
> Shake head.
> "This is only to fulfill my end of the deal. Where might we find a stand that sells the candy you want?"
> "I can get you some. Now, where can we get some that you'll want?"
> Frown.
> "I cannot get you candy if you cannot tell me where it is."
>"Don`t you have a favorite one ? Maybe that one."
>"Then they`re not your favorites, hmmm, why don`t you just roll a dice or something like that ?"
> Shake our head as well.
> "The best I could do is flip a coin."
> Give a very slight nod, then look directly at Rumia.
> "Rumia, perhaps we should simply find the closest stand that sells candy."
> "By choosing the closest one."
> "If we're at it, then how could another stand be closer?"
>"But if it`s the closest one and it sells candy, then it`s the right one." Give her a smile. "You still want the candy right ? So let`s buy them."
>"Good girl !"
>Head to the nearest stand that seems to sell candy.
> Inventory
> Pull out 10☼.
> "How much candy can I get for this?"
> "Very well. That's how much you get, Rumia."
> Hand the money over.
> "I will leave her here to make her decision, as Mistress Scarlet and I have time-sensitive business elsewhere. My apologies if she takes a while to decide."
> "It is what was once the currency of this land. I'm afraid my travels have not brought me into updated currency, but the metal itself is certainly still good."
> Nod.
> "Of course. I simply thought you may some day be curious."
> Look to Rumia.
> "Don't cause the nice merchant any problems now, okay?"
> Look to Flandre.
> "Let us take our leave, Mistress. I know your time is valuable."
> Take flight and head toward where Youkai Mountain should be.
> "So you have told me of the history of our home. Can you tell me about your own personal journey through life?"
> "I am sure you did. But surely you have your own thoughts about the world?"
>How does Flandre compared to us in height and constitution ? Is she shorter than us ?
> How much does Remilia know of that other woman that is dead and gone? How much does Flandre know?
> "Are you happy with the direction this land has taken? Perhaps you have made good friends outside of our home and your current residence? Is there anyone from my time that has passed on whom you miss? Things such as these. I have heard things about the last several centuries from Reimu; I wish to hear about them from you as well."
> "You do seem to have done quite well for yourself, yes."
> Smile.
> "I believe it bears repeating: How you've grown, Young Mistress."
> "I am happy that you're happy."
> "I must admit, when I learned that the mansion... was gone..." Deep Breath "...I was very worried about what had happened to you."
> "Hmm. Perhaps you can tell me of what became of some of our more notable acquaintances? Reimu tells me that Yukari passed away; do you know of the circumstances surrounding this?"
> "Miss Yagokoro? She returned to the moon? Interesting..."
> "What about Lady Toyosatomimi? Does her faction still see you as an ally?"
> "And this is probably being overly hopeful, but did the Netherworld ever at least attempt to apologize for their transgression?"
> ...Did Remilia attempt to make things even?
> "Perhaps in a sense, but an apology is still warranted."
> Frown
> "Hrmph. At least some things have not changed."
> "I suppose."
> "So...do you, perhaps, have any advice for your past self?"
> Nod.
> "Once I return home, I will be sure to relay this."
> Smirk.
> "The list of things I wish to reveal when I return home is very short for precisely that reason. But it is not empty."
> Chuckle a bit ourselves.
> "Perhaps this accident is not without merit. I am very pleased to see this you, Young Mistress. At the risk of sounding morbid, I am not sure I would have had the opportunity otherwise."
> "So...thank you, again, for agreeing to accompany me this far."
> Nod, then continue onward to our destination, keeping an eye out for anything that might serve as this 'Apex' where Shou and/or Nue may be dwelling these days.
>Examine the bright orange boxes in detail.
>Are the boxes just floating there?
>"So those are the cable cars you mentioned.... hmm."
>"I wonder how it feels to ride one, nevertheless..."
> "Where do we go to enter one?"
> "Very well. Let us see this device in action."
> Fly to the indicated deck.
> Read 'em! Don't want to get in trouble with the tengu when we're this far from home.
> Nod at the rules board and make our way into the pagoda.
> When in the future, do as the Old Young Mistress does! Head toward the white line.
> "How curious."
> Follow that Flan.
> "I see..."
> Have a seat next to the Young Mistress.
> "I can see the benefit, yes. A shame I will not be able to discuss it once I am home."
> "I hope it is sooner rather than later. I could get used to this."
>In other words, become a Yukkuri. :V>The only logical path of action.
>Take it easy.
>"Young Mistress ? Our stop is nearing, we should prepare to leave."
> Recall what Reimu said about the Warlord/Daimyo.
> Follow the Young Mistress out.
> Point at the sign.
> "Will we find your companions this way?"
> Nod.
> "Then let us pay them a visit."
> Follow the road to Apex.
> Purse lips.
> "I need to visit both, really. But I suppose it would be better to talk to your companions after we learn whatever we are to learn in Bhavagra. Very well."
> Head upward to Bhavagra instead.
> Check in on the Young Mistress.
> If she is faring well, head toward the spotted island.
> Last time we were on one of these we got left in a pretty bad state...at least we won, though.
> Make sure the Young Mistress lands safely, then make our way to the nearest celestial.
> Did we ever learn Amaya's family name?
> "Greetings. Do you know of the availability of Lady Nagae or Miss Hinanawi?"
> "Iku Nagae, Messenger of the Dragon Palace. I suppose it is possible I am many years too late on that front, however."
> "I see. Is it permissible to see Miss Hinanawi in the Dragon Palace, then? If she turns us away herself, then so be it, but I would like to at least try."
> Do we know where the Dragon Palace is? If not, ask.
> "I see. Is someone available?"
> Nod.
> "What is her name, and what does she look like?"
> "Very well. Thank you very much, Miss...?"
> Return the gesture.
> "Thank you, Miss Phana. Best of luck with your duties."
> Head toward the orchard where the overseer allegedly is.
> ...Wait, we know that oni, don't we? The one that was responsible for all those parties that one time?
> And that overseer... Is that Lady Toyosatomimi's hairstyle? She had a purple and red cloak, too...
> Make our way over to them, getting into conversation distance.
> Lady Toyosatomimi expressed interest in meeting the Young Mistress when we first met. Did that actually happen, to our knowledge?
> Put on what we hope is a well-meaning smile.
> "Forgive my impertinence, Lady Toyosatomimi, but you will never get through to Miss Ibuki that way."
>Return the bow too.
> Roll our eyes at Suika with a slight grin, then look to Miko.
> "My hearty congratulations for your ascension to Bhavagra. I trust your companions have fared similarly? I am rather out of the loop, so to speak."
> "I've gathered that it's been a long time."
> Curtsey.
> "Sakuya Izayoi, head maid of the now-defunct Scarlet Devil Mansion. You had a sword sheath with no sword when we first met, if I remember right."
>"It`s rather complicated, even i don`t know the details very well, but during that library incident, it seems i used my time-stop so intensely that i fainted and awoke on a forest centuries later..."
> "Neither did I. It certainly wasn't intentional. And yes, physically, I am fine. The new Gensokyo and the happeningsd in my absence are a lot to take in, though."
> Look to Suika.
> "You and I were well-acquainted in my time. More notable meetings include when I helped stop your throwing endless parties at the Hakurei Shrine, and when we were both caught up in the weather incident, caused when that same Shrine was destroyed by Bhavagra's own Tenshi Hinanawi."
> "Quite."
> Look back to Miko.
> "Regardless, I came here in that hope, as Reimu suggested I would have some luck here in my search for a way back to my own time."
> "I would appreciate it greatly, if I would not be intruding."
> "Then yes, please. And perhaps you can tell me about your experiences over the past several hundred years along the way?"
> Grin.
> "Honestly, your best bets are to either bribe her or hit her harder than she hits you."
> Follow Lady Toyosatomimi.
> "Are they here as well?"
> "I understand. Please give them my regards and best wishes the next time you see them, then."
> "Young Mistress, do you happen to know where in Apex Tojiko and Seiga live? I think I could make time for a visit, even if we need to part ways so you can return to our duties."
>"It seems Miss Tojiko is gifted with the skill of going unnoticed."
> Look back and forth between the two.
> "...I know what you told me earlier, Young Mistress, but this rapport between the two of you is still quite the sight. Something else I never thought I'd see in my lifetime."
> "Apologies, Young Mistress. I did not mean to offend."
> Did we know a Meira?
> "Was this the same Meira that was at Reimu's shrine during that tournament?"
>"The fact she's still alive must be from your teachings i assume."
>"This is all very intriguing.... the destruction of my home, the dissappearance of my Mistress, the fact Miss Reimu became a goddess AND got the donations that were long due, how your group and the buddhists have buried the hatchet, everything is so...... it's..."
> "Well, if nothing else, being able to see the future is an... enlightening experience."
> "Oh, perhaps you would know, Lady Toyosatomimi. What became of Miss Nagae the Dragon Palace Messenger?"
>".......Wait, is Seiga still causing trouble for people like she used to?"Forgot this one.
> "...I take that to mean she's gone and not coming back."
>".......Wait, is Seiga still causing trouble for people like she used to?"
>"So do i, and considering who would have put her in line all these years, i am fairly sure there is nothing to worry about."
> "Are you happy with where Gensokyo has gone? Or were you happy, I guess, since maybe it doesn't matter so much to you anymore."
> "How did it expand, anyway? I didn't think we could do that."
> "Huh. Is it still expanding, then, or is it done?"
> "Interesting. I wonder if the outside world has noticed?"
>Did someone tell us what happened to Ran Yakumo and Chen Yakumo ?
> "'Anymore'? Was there a time when you did?"
>"Ahh yes, i do recall that... what about Ran Yakumo, Yukari's shikigami, and Chen Yakumo, the shikigami's shikigami ? Have you heard of anything regarding the two ?"
> "I did not know they were here, honestly. Once I heard that the current Messenger was a Hinanawi, I thought I should talk to her. But I certainly won't object to being able to talk to a Yakumo as well."
> "That's fine by me."
> "Good."
> "So you're the 'overseer', yes? It did not take you long to earn a position of authority up here, did it?"
> "Too much like old times?"
>About our dead past, who else knows about besides ourselves (duh) and Mistress Remilia ?
>"Pleasant to hear so...... say, might i now how did your entourage and Miss Byakuren with her followers come to a peaceful relationship ? That is a great leap from what i remember in my time."
> You okay, parser? You're up way earlier than I expected and that's almost never a good sign.
> Shrug.
> "It's possible, I guess. Gensokyo had a handful of bitter rivalries before you showed up, so everyone may just have assumed we had one more."
> "Seems like time does that, if what Gensokyo has become is any indication."
> "That looks pretty important."
> Nod.
> Continue onward.
> Where, exactly, are we? That immense door? Or somewhere else?
> "This is...remarkable."
> Nod a few times in wonder.
> Look around. Anyone look like Tenshi?
> Point at her.
> "That looks like her hat, Lady Toyosatomimi."
> "Miss Hinanawi and I have enough of a history that I would like to introduce myself, if for no other reason than to get a proper reaction out of her. I would appreciate your continued presence, however, but I would understand if you have other duties to address."
> "Before I do that, though, can you tell me her position here?"
> Look at Miko and blink a couple of times.
> "Really."
> Look back down at Tenshi.
> "Now this, I must see for myself."
> Unless Miko prompts us to travel by foot, descend to the terrace where Tenshi is currently with as much grace as we can muster, landing a respectful conversation distance behind her.
> Curtsey.
> "Indeed, Lady Messenger. I have a most unique problem, and I have come to seek permission to consult Ran Yakumo about solving it."
> Give a hint of a smile.
> "I admit I'm hoping both you and she will make time for an old friend neither of you have seen for several hundred years."
> Gesture our ourselves.
> "Sakuya Izayoi, head maid of the now-defunct Scarlet Devil Mansion. As I recall, the last time we saw each other, you left me broken and I left you unconscious, disputing over a flag planted on a fallen Bhavagran island."
> Shake head.
> "The short version of my story is that I was somehow thrown forward in time several hundred years. If you ever heard about an explosion in our library, it happened then; from my perspective, that only just happened this morning."
> "Like I said, a most unique problem."
> "It seems uncouth to start throwing knives everywhere in a place like this."
> Stop time, walk over to Tenshi, take her partially-eaten tart (without touching where she bit into it, if possible), return to our original standing position, hold up the tart, and resume time.
> "Maybe this will do?"
> Return the tart.
> "Thank you."
>"I admit i am quite surprised to see how you fare at this moment compared to the Tenshi from my time period."
I was getting to that ;_;
> Nod.
> "Yes, congratulations to you for coming as far as you have. I've no doubt you earned it."
> Frown.
> "Sorry."
>"Ah, of course!"
>Hover, and follow.
> "Reimu pointed me here. To be honest, I thought it was to see you and Miss Nagae. I only learned about Ran when I generically asked Lady Toyosatomimi about what happened to the Yakumos."
>"And so it then leads to this question: Why are they here of all places ?"
> Glance over to Miko with a look of amusement, then look back to Tenshi.
> "Forgive my not asking until now, but how have you been?"
> Nod.
> "That is good to hear, but I must admit I meant how you've been over the past several centuries."
> ...Is that true, that we've only been around 'a couple of decades'?
>"Then just tell me of random interesting events that happened to you after i disappeared, i'm willing to bet you've gathered some."
> "Such as when Miss Nagae ascended, or whatever the proper term is. Ah, I suppose I should offer my congratulations for that to you as well, since I can't exactly offer them directly to her."
> "Ah, I see. Interesting."
> "You are happy with the way things are, then?"
>Smirk.
>"I'd never think i would hear those words coming from your mouth. Maybe i should have brought the Tenshi of my time too, only a Tenshi can match another after all."
> "What about this Warlord I have heard about?"
> "Someone out of Haihan that claims to want to conquer the world. Apparently Reimu's concerned enough that she's considering sending the current shrine maiden out to look into it."
> "Is...is that really okay?"
> "You weren't the Messenger back in my day. If the Warlord is truly not Bhavagran business, should the Messenger really get caught up in it to any degree? I wouldn't want to get you in trouble."
>"Unless you know of things you shouldn't, then that is more than enough to get caught up."
> "Regardless, I don't really know any more than what I've already told you, unfortunately. Apparently Haihan is several days' travel from here? I didn't even know it existed before a few hours ago."
> Nod.
> "Thank you, Lady Messenger."
> "You will be returning to your duties, then?"
> "I don't think so, unless there's anything you want me to do when I return home to my time."
>"Hmm, how about you tell me of something you hated before, but you like now ?"
>"Give me your top one, then i`ll do something about that, you`ll hate it during that time, but then you`ll love it in the future, ehm, i mean this present."
> Give a slight grin.
> "What about someone? Or would that make the list longer?"
> Raise an eyebrow, but give a slight nod of the head.
> Well, whatever.
> Knock on the door.
> Enter!
> Do we know of the significance of a kitsune losing tails?
> "Long time no see."
> "Ignoring the other choice terms, I wouldn't use 'were'."
> Step out of the way to allow the person behind us entrance, taking the opportunity to see who it is.
>Give a slight smile. "I see that some things never really change."
>Stop time, go behind our "mystery person", resume time and pet them.
>"And how about you ?"
> Stop time and turn our head around to the left enough to look at who's behind us.
> Don't go petting anyone yet.
> "Of course. My apologies."
> Stop time and move back in front on Chen while facing Ran, then resume time again.
>"Now, how should i proceed ? Should i start with how i ended up here ?"
> "You did not. I figured you would both rather I stand as I did to begin with."
>"Oh ! Pardon me..."
>Straighten up.
> "It will not happen again. You have my word."
> "A way to return to my proper time, if possible."
> Would Ran know about our pocketwatch?
> "You may or may not remember an explosion in the Scarlet Devil Mansion library long ago. While I was holding time frozen in an attempt to rescue Keine Kamishirasawa from a collapsing bookshelf, I blacked out, and awoke in a forest that I have come to learn is part of the Avalon region."
> Frown.
> "That explosion happened several hundred years ago for everyone else, but for me, it was only this morning."
> "I have no idea how it happened. The only clue I have is that all of my possessions were present when I awoke except for my pocketwatch, which, again, you may or may not remember."
> "It has power similar to mine. I depended on it more when I was younger, but it is largely a keepsake these days, as I can do what I do by myself."
> "That's about the gist of it. If it happened one way, I don't see why it can't happen the other way, but without the pocketwatch I haven't the foggiest idea where to begin."
> "With all due respect, it seems logical that it would be related to what happened."
> Raise an eyebrow.
> "Do you believe I did this myself, then? That would be...rather frightening, honestly."
>"...it wouldn't have anything to do with Miss Keine herself, may i ask ?"
>Ponder, did ours powers ever react violently with another being's powers ?
>"Please elaborate."
> Blink.
> "...Why me?"
>"Hmm... that is rather disturbing... oh !" Look around for a place to sit. "May i have a seat ?"
> "Thank you."
> Have said seat.
> "You have yourself quite the bodyguard, I dare say. You must be proud."
> Does she sound older?
> Turn our head to the left so we can at least cast a sideways glance at Chen.
> "I certainly believe it. You have much to be proud of yourself."
>"Would it be fine if i asked her to show me her abilities later ? My curiousity is peaking and maybe i could learn something from Miss Chen here, she does have centuries of experience and training of advantage on me after all."
> "Consider it an apology for earlier misunderstandings disguised as the truth, then."
>"Then what would get me anywhere ? I doubt i could handle you on a friendly duel, nor do i have an idea of what you like now, so much has changed after all...."
>Turn to Ran.
>"May i ask what do you research here ?"
>"Bribe with what exactly ? You already have some intricate blades, and i don't really know your taste for food or clothing preferrence... besides, i already spent some of my money paying part of my debt to Miss Reimu, there are still 5 more centuries worth to pay out."
> Was the Young Mistress allowed in the room?
> "Ah, so you have ascended as well, like Lady Toyosatomimi?"
> "Ah, I see. ...Hmm, forgive me for asking such a personal question, but are you happy with how your life and Gensokyo in general have progressed?"
> Ran.
> "...This is where I must admit my ignorance. What exactly is Apex?"
> "Oh, I see. That makes a fair amount of sense. And where did Haihan fit into all of this?"
>"So much has happened in this time, it'll be hard to return back to my time knowing all of this..... but at least i will be able to change the fate of the Mansion to it's original path..."
>"I don't think so, it feels like a chessboard, since i was taken away from my time period, a piece was removed, changing everything, and now so little of what i loved remains, even she is now dead.... and she searched for me everywhere...."
>"By the way, whatever happened to that Half-Bak-Er, Half-Ghost Swordswoman in Yuyuko's service?
>"Also, whatever happen to that Annoying Amanojaku who made a mess in Gensokyo back in my time?"
> "Mmm, I see. But perhaps I am losing focus. Can you tell me anything about this force you mentioned? Even the reason why you think there is an outside force could be a clue."
> Wait, do we know 'how'?
>"Then that will be troublesome, i was counting on going back today, but it seems i'll have to find a place to stay at this rate."
>Try to look at Chen.
>"Did you already train hard at my time to become this skilled ? If not, i wonder how much better could you get compared to this time if i went back and trained with you."
>"Not to drag you down... but perfection is a goal that keeps changing you know... i mean, perfect itself has different meanings depending on the person, it's a 'Can chase but never really catch situation', although you are pretty close to it. Still, i wish i had that much of a lifespan to train..."
> Then I must have missed something. How did the force send us forward in time?
> To Ran: "And we don't have any idea who or what did it, on top of having no idea why."
> "Do you think I should wait until it resolves itself, then?"
> "It is?"
> Nod.
> "Consider it done."
> "That's quite an interesting list. The Young Mistress did wonder if her old room was still around; I guess this is as good a reason as any to investigate that."
> "Thank you."
> Take the locket.
>"To obtain the echoes, do I simply need to find the same geological location I was right before I was thrown through time?"
> "This can be done."
> Purse our lips.
> "And...thank you for your willingness to assist me. It's possible most others wouldn't consider the potential consequences of me succeeding in my mission, but I'm sure you have."
> Glance back at the door we used to enter here to make sure the three of us are alone in the room, then look back at Ran.
> "Then is there, perhaps, anything you wish me to convey to your past selves?"
> "Well, I plan on returning here eventually, so take your time. I'm guessing you don't think message delivery would change too much, then?"
> "Of course. The Young Mistress agrees, as do I."
> Purse our lips.
> "Though I am not entirely convinced Tenshi feels the same way."
>"Maybe something simple ? Like a tip for a research of yours ? Or maybe get Chen a nice set of blades to train with ?"
>Could we see how Chens blades looked like ? If so can we compare our knifes with them ?
>Check Inventory.
>"What about you ? Young-yet-older Miss Chen, any ideas ?"
>"Nothing ? I see..." Turn to Ran. "Some rainbow dust, gather echoes from the area i was when i got displaced and an object that was at that time and is still intact... that is all, correct ?"
>"Then it shall be done."
>Get up.
>"I'd better start soon if i desire to go back as soon as possible." Turn to face both of them. "Thank you for your aid you two, and forgive for my previous innadequate behavior, Lady Ran."
>Give bows to both of them.
>"Anything else that i should know ? Something to avoid or a person that might help ?"
>"A gap might i ask ? Hmmm.... well then farewell you two."
>Proceed to leave, but stop near Chen.
>Pull out a coin.
>"It isn't much, but i don't have many options, and you already have high-quality gear from what i could see, maybe as a memento of old times ?"
>"I'm glad you like it."
>Leave and search for said shortcut.
> "Yes. Follow me, and please close your eyes before stepping through, Young Mistress."
> Get up to the gap, close our eyes, and walk through it.
> Open our eyes and move out of Flandre's way.
> "There we go. Shall we head to Apex and visit your colleagues, Young Mistress?"
> "Ran believes an outside force is responsible for displacing me from my proper time. She has an idea for how to address it, but I need to gather a few materials for it."
> "That is the goal, yes."
> Chuckle.
> "I understand, Young Mistress."
> "Well, I had a message to deliver to Nue. But it sounds as though I may be able to acquire one of the things I seek there."
> "It would be much appreciated."
> "Very well."
> Head in that direction.
>"It's quite strange.... but rather fascinating at the same time..."
>Keep going while still having a look around.
> "Now that we are here, where may we find your companions, Young Mistress?"
> Frown.
> "The lack of sound is curious."
> Step through the torii, bracing for lots of noise.
> "...What on Earth...?"
> "That's one way of putting it."
> Does anything look like a Buddhist temple or a bar?
> Can we read any of the lights spelling out things?
> Point at the Crow Mart.
> "Is that a tengu establishment, or does someone simply have a sense of humor?"
> "They couldn't have gone the whole nine yards and opened an alcohol establishment and called it the Crow Bar, could they? Hmm. Come to think of it, what are the tengu journalists up to these days? Are the Bunbunmaru and Kakashi papers still around?"
> Follow the Older Young Mistress.
> "That would be nice to take care of before you need to return to your Temple. Truth be told, I am hoping one of them will be able to give me a picture of the two of us for me to bring home."
> "I could keep it a secret if need be, but it would be nice to have some proof of what happened to me should I be gone long enough that Mistress will require an explanation, and showing everyone an older Young Mistress shouldn't change the fact that you're going to age."
> Smile.
> "Thank you."
> "Well, hmm. I have to deliver Sir Kay's message to Nue. It would be nice if we could visit Lady Toyosatomimi's friends, though I'll bet they won't be easy to find. We should also keep an eye out for Bunbunmaru or Kakashi. And I need some rainbow sand, 'left over from grinding down a nautilus of the same name', Ran says. It is one of the necessary items for her to work whatever she's going to work for me."
> "Let's start with your companions, since we are at least sure where they are. If you wish to visit your Shou, that is fine; it might be nice to not chase after someone or something while under a large amount of pressure, even if only for a little bit."
> "Not if you do not think there is."
> Nod.
> "Very well. Let us visit Nue first, then."
> "Who...who are all these people?"
> "Hmm. Do you remember the name of the place?"
> "Heroes? Like Reimu? Well, like Reimu used to be, I guess."
> "Huh. Far be it from me to question others involving themselves in Reimu's business, but does Gensokyo really need that many heroes?"
> "I heard the barrier was completed, or something. If they're not from Gensokyo, how did they get here?"
> "Oh, I see. Well, we could always ask one of these heroes if they know where Nue's establishment is. Or we could ask Shou."
> Raise an eyebrow, but say nothing and let Flan work it out on her own.
> Is this enormous building to the left? If so, point to it and inquire if it is our destination.
>"Diet building ? Like for those that desire to lose fat and such ?"
>Speaking of that, how are we in terms of mass ?
> Take a look to the left and see if anything is related to roses.
>How generous and slim compared to other people we know of ? Is that a consequence of all the maidwork and knife trainong of ours?
>"How do they look like ?"
> "Hmm, nothing I can see to the left seems to be about roses..."
> Check to the right.
>"The Diet, how do they look like ? You said they run this place."
>Have we checked our front ? Or is there no streets on that direction ? If not do it.
> Give the Young Mistress some more time to think.
> Are we capable of removing both ourselves and another person from time simultaneously?
> Keep waiting.
> Nod and follow.
> Look around for crabs.
> Look up.
>"Sure, would you know about a establishment with a glowing blue crab sign around here ? Or about someone called Nue ?"
> "It seems she runs a food establishment with the word 'Rose' in the name. Unfortunately, I know little more than that, other than that she is an historic prankster."
> Follow the youkai.
> "I...must admit I don't know much more about her. I never met her personally, and if she ever knew about me, chances are very good she has long since forgotten."
>What kind of building was the one she hopped of ?
>"And she also has some ties with the buddhists."
>"Who may you be, Miss ?"
> Is there a crab sign anywhere around?
> Check on the Young Mistress.
>Are we aware of Nue's illusionary powers ?
>Put a slightly confused face.
>"And why are you helping a bunch of strangers ? I mean, we're here for quite a while and nobody did the same as you..."
>Smirk.
>"I'm pretty sure there are better ways to not get bored than this, but you do you."
>What do we know of Nue's pranks ? And what was the most notable one we've heard.
>"Oh ! Pardon me, the name is Sakuya Izayoi, an experienced human maid."
> "My apologies, I didn't mean to offend."
>Do we know anything on what she looks like?
>Have we read SOPM by Hieda no Akyuu?
> "Ah, I just remembered something else; she seems to have unusual wings."
> Look to Flandre.
> "I see a crab and a rose. Would that be it, Young Mistress?"
> "Then let us try it."
> Turn back to the coyote.
> "I thank you for guiding us, Miss...?"
> "Ah. I must have misheard earlier, then. My thanks, Miss Coyote."
> Curtsey.
> "Have a wonderful rest of your day."
> Head into Estelle's.
> Nod.
> "Greetings, Miss Houjuu."
> Follow Nue to have a seat.
> Inventory
> Fish out 1☼.
> "Before we begin, this may seem bizarre, but does this place accept older Gensokyo currency?"
> Blanche a bit, then look back up at Nue.
> "Thank you. That is good, because it appears I have been pickpocketed a fair amount."
>"I can`t say, there were just too many opportunities for someone to do so, maybe that Coyote person did so too."
>Shrug.
>"Even some of my knifes are missing, i guess centuries changed this place way more than i thought."
> Make a mildly disgusted face.
> "Wonderful. And I suppose we won't see her again. Are you missing anything, Young Mistress?"
> "Well, at least she hit me rather than you, then."
> Frown.
> "Still, Young Mistress, my sincere apologies that I allowed someone like that so close to you without sensing even an ounce of danger."
> Frown.
> "I'm not sure I agree with her definition of 'fun'. I suppose that what's done is done, though, and she did bring us here."
> Is there a menu present?
>"....not quite.... to be honest, i shouldn`t even be here alive and well, i should be long dead, but something brought me centuries in the future, putting me in this entirely different Gensokyo, and i`m trying to find a way to get back to my time."
>"I'm just as confused as you are, there was a fire in the library in the SDM while Kenie was visiting, and i passed out while pulling her out of some fallen book shelfs. Then i woke up today, about a century late."
> "Well, more like several centuries later, it seems."
> "Yep. It has been quite a day, to put it mildly."
> Gesture to the menu.
> "What would you recommend?"
>"And what are some names i should know around here?"
> Would tea and manju suffice as a lunch? Or do we normally go for something more filling?
> Nod.
> "I would love to try them both, then."
> "Thank you, Miss Houjuu."
> Give the manjuu a try.
> "Well, part of it is obviously trying to learn more about this new Gensokyo. It has been a few centuries of course."
> "Another part is trying to find a way to get me back to my time - speaking of which, do you know where I can find Rainbow Sand?"
> "Oh, and I also have a message from you from some foreigner named Kay. Something about a sword?"
> "Yep. He's the Earl of whatever region that is. Avalon, or whatever name they use now."
> "Oh, is that the name of their language? Most people I met very obviously spoke ours as a second language. Kay sounded like a natural, though."
> What precisely did Kay want us to ask about the sword? Merely what happened to it?
> "The locals claimed they learned it to speak the language of the fairies, thinking it would be rude to force the fairies to adapt to them when the fairies were here first."
> "The fairies I met spoke ours. How curious."
> Shrug.
> "He believed it was part of Gensokyo, but someone else said it was Avalon. I think Reimu said that. Anyway, you could go there yourself if you don't believe me. I think it's far, far south of the Human Village, or Old Hometown, or whatever it is now. You can find it after some farm land if you follow along a river."
> "You probably should. I don't know how much longer I will be here, and he wants to know what happened to some sword from his land. I'm guessing you have it?"
> "Ah. So it is being used as decor? I think he will be satisfied to hear that."
> Did Kay want us specifically to return for any other reason?
> Nod.
> "I'll let him know, then. Let me know if you'd like to join me for that journey. I have a couple of other things I need to take care of in the meantime, if you need time."
> "Like that rainbow said I mentioned; it is my understanding that it is 'leftover from grinding down a nautilus of the same name', and that Apex is more likely to have it than Gensokyo proper."
> "Is there a problem with her?"
> "Mmm, I see. Well, honestly, it could be a lot worse."
> "I will keep this in mind. Thank you."
> Raise an eyebrow.
> "That sounds unpleasant. Where does she reside?"
> "That does not useful confidence that I'll be able to find her."
> "Oh, the people the Young Mistress mentioned, in the important-looking building with the columns."
> "Understood."
> Try a sip of the tea.
> Put on an impressed look.
> "Oh, this is quite good."
> Have another sip.
> Look back and forth between Nue and Flan.
> "Hmm?"
> Look mildly confused.
> "I'm afraid I don't understand. I am obligated to help a friend of the young Mistress, though. Is there any way I can help with this issue, Miss Houjuu?"
> Stare in silence at Flandre for a couple of seconds with an embarrassed look, then look away from both and have another sip.
> "Quite."
> "Yes, let's not."
> Have another sip.
> Glance back over at Nue with a slightly aggravated expression, then look away again and sniff.
> "Very."
> Look to Nue for a couple of moments, then to Flan for a couple of moments, then back to Nue.
> "...You didn't even take my offer. This figure takes work, you know."
> Lose the frown and giggle a little bit.
> "My apologies, Young Mistress, but I couldn't help myself. And my apologies to you as well, Miss Houjuu, for I am already spoken for, and am not really in a position right now to speak with her about the matter."
> "Oh, I would never tell Meiling about this. She's far prettier than me, and I can't have her being stolen away from me."
>"And I.... still have to give her my apologies in this time too.... for all the pain i brought her..."
>Look crestfallen.
>"I won't make the same mistake twice, i promise Meiling..."
> "Thank you."
> Grin just a little at Nue.
> "And yes, I like to think I do."
> Stop laughing, but keep up a good-natured smile.
> "Anyway, yes, I would appreciate whatever help can be offered."
> "Hmmm...Honestly, probably just information, for the most part. What can you tell me of this Warlord I have heard about?"
> "Really? That sounds worrisome."
> "Ah. Hmm. Is unsavory activity really such a problem for Higan?"
"Well, i guess you could say the same for the Netherworld."
> "Anyway, hmm, what else. Oh, the server was a tengu, I noticed. Can you tell me about what Aya Shameimaru and Hatate Himekaidou are up to these days? The Young Mistress told me that the Kakashi Spirit News has an establishment here now."
> "Where might we find her?"
> "Hero's Square? Was that the place with all the statues?"
> "Any from my time?"
> "Hmm. I would guess Reimu and Marisa? I suspect none of the rest of us were quite as memorable as those two."
> Frown.
> "That seems patronizing. Unless Hero's Square is explicitly for the departed, I suppose."
> "Well, whatever. I am getting distracted. It is my understanding that Tojiko and Seiga of the Taoist clan currently reside in Apex. Would you happen to know where?"
> Look to Flan.
> "I suppose that is as good a reason as any to pay her a visit as well, Young Mistress."
> Did that manjuu ever come?
> Look back to Nue.
> "Let me think, what else...ah, well, I suppose you very likely would have told the Young Mistress already, but it would not do to not be thorough. Have you ever heard anything about where Mistress may have disappeared to?"
> "Then I suppose I will have to swallow my irritation and ask the Diet."
>"....Lets just say its a low point for the Moriyans, as hard as that is to believe."
> "It's probably not something I should discuss here in Apex."
> Wave a hand dismissively.
> "Do not concern yourself with it, Young Mistress. It will not affect my behavior."
> Look back to Nue.
> "I'm not sure there is anything else I'm immediately curious about. Do you have any advice yourself?"
> Nod.
> "I will keep this in mind, for however much longer I am here."
>"Of course, it would be unwise to do so at any moment, let alone on a place i barely know about, i should keep my guard up for the Young Mistress sake also."
>"Yes, and i am grateful that you do so."
>Give her a curious face.
>"Just out of curiosity, i heard you were quite the prankster back in the day, using some sort of illusionary power, have you kept that old habit or give it a break ?"
> Has it been Daytime the whole time we've been with Flandre?
> Chuckle.
> "I suppose I should have expected such an answer. Ah, another curiosity. How long has the Young Mistress been 'Little Miss Wings' to you, anyway?"
>"Well i can't blame you two, both of your wings are attention-drawing to say the least."
>Sip the tea if there is some left.
> "Good fortune that befalls the Young Mistress is to be rejoiced, not envied."
> Smile at Flan.
> "I mean that your gain is my gain, Young Mistress. If you are happy, then I am happy."
> Pause.
> "...It's a long shot, but a tour guide would be appreciated if one is available. I do not wish to keep the Young Mistress from her duties more than is necessary."
> "I don't really expect anyone to agree to it, honestly, since I don't have much in the way of compensating them. But I will certainly take what I can get."
> Nod.
> "I will do so, then."
> Pause for a moment, then grin.
> "How about some lottery results?"
> Chuckle a bit ourselves.
> "In all seriousness, I am not sure I can think of anything else at present. We should probably determine a time and place to meet if you are really going to accompany me back to Avalon, though."
> "Is there any easy way to get back here?"
> "All right. Is this street itself fairly notable?"
> "I suppose that's true."
> Is our meal finished?
> We'll say we were, then.
> Stand up.
> "In that case, I believe it best if I continue onward."
> Chuckle a bit.
> "Are you ready, Young Mistress?"
> "I believe I am, yes."
> Turn to Nue.
> "Your hospitality is most appreciated, Miss Choujuu. Until we meet again."
> Assuming Nue doesn't stop us, leave the eatery and follow Nue's directions to get to the Diet.
> Spit on the Sanae statue.
>Look at the statues.
>Do we see anyone we recognize other than Arthur?
>Where did we learn of Arthur from?
> Didn't Kay mention the name 'Pendragon'?
> Point to the statue.
> "'Pendragon'? Sir Kay referenced that name with much reverence."
> "I believe 'she' is a 'he'. How intriguing, a male hero! Well, I suppose there's no reason why such would not be possible."
> Have a look at the back for ourselves.
>"True... i wonder if they are cleaning the other statues right now too..."
>Is it only that part that remains wet, or is there still some wetness on other parts on the statue by having a closer look ?
> Check statues nearby this one for recent washings
> Frown slightly.
> "I wonder why they would only have one statue cleaned..."
>"True... i wonder if they are cleaning the other statues right now too..."
>Is it only that part that remains wet, or is there still some wetness on other parts on the statue by having a closer look ?
> "Mmm. I suppose I can ask the Diet, if merely to satisfy professional curiosity. Come, Young Mistress."
> Head toward the Diet building.
> Enter!
>With grace !
> Make our way gracefully over to the tall woman in red, pausing our approach once we enter respectable conversation distance, but before we seem like we're trying to impose on the current conversation.
> Chuckle a bit.
> "I'm afraid my loyalty will forever be to a hose that has not stood for a few centuries, sir."
> Look to Kanako.
> "Only if your conversation with this gentleman is concluded. I do not wish to interrupt more than I already have."
> Nod to the man.
> "I thank you, sir."
> Look back to Kanako and give a proper curtsey.
> "Greetings, Miss Yasaka. I am Sakuya Izayoi, head maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion."
> Is Flandre present?
> Shake our head.
> "No. At least, no one with contact with me. As strange as this may sound, I am not of this time. I was somehow brought here from centuries in the past, back when Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame were living humans around my age. Your Sanae Kochiya, as well."
> Nod to Kanako.
> "Very. This place is...something else, to be certain."
> Look to the old man.
> "I was surprised, to say the least, myself. But Reimu tells me it has been centuries since I was last seen in Gensokyo. Ah, would you happen to be from the Avalonian area? That is, somehow, where I regained consciousness."
> Look mildly shocked.
> "Ah! With those titles, may I guess you are the same Ector that is the father of Sir Kay?"
> Nod.
> "The first place I found after awaking and leaving the forest was True Glorian. In an amusing coincidence, I just came from Estelle's, a food establishment run by Nue Houjuu, who appears to have met him some time ago. She and I will be returning to True Glorian later today to deliver information he requested, in fact."
> Nod.
> "Her words suggest the flow of time is different between locations. I imagine that has something to do with it."
> Wave a hand dismissive.
> "Think nothing of it. Regardless, as Miss Houjuu and I will be visiting later today, would you like to pass a message along, or even possibly join us?"
> "Perhaps just a short and simple message, then?"
> Raise an eyebrow.
> "Hmm?"
> Nod.
> "As you wish, Sir."
> Look to Kanako.
> "But yes, this is quite the job you've done here."
> "I will try not to waste too much of your time, then. I have two pressing matters, and a third less-pressing matter."
> "The first is a need for Rainbow Sand. I have come to learn that I can acquire some from a person known as the Rainbow Serpent."
> "As you may have guessed, I wish to return to my own time, centuries ago."
> Put on an ever-so-slight grin.
> "A...certain four-tailed individual in Bhavagra has an idea for how to do this, but I must gather a few ingredients for her first. One of these is rainbow sand."
> "Oh! My apologies, Sir. I'm told that rainbow sand is 'leftover from grinding down a nautilus of the same name'."
> "She did say that I would have more luck in Apex than Gensokyo, for what that's worth."
> "Nue said they were her 'thing', whatever that means."
> "No wonder Nue compared her to Yukari Yakumo."
> Give an uncertain frown.
> "This does not seem to bode well for finding her..."
> Brighten up.
> "She is? Where may I find her?"
> "Where can I find your port, Sir Ector?"
> "...I suppose I walked into that one."
> Nod.
> "All right. But, ah...what are those places?"
> Nod.
> "Very well, then. What does she look like?"
> Nod.
> "Seems identifiable enough. Thank you for your help on this matter, then."
> "The other pressing issue I have is the disappearance of my Mistress, and the Young Mistress' older sister, Remilia Scarlet. Would anyone in the Diet happen to know anything about where she may have gone?"
> "All I know is what the Young Mistress has told me."
> Look back to Flan.
> Look back to Kanako and Ector and frown.
> "How unfortunate. I imagine Miss Yakumo stopped paying attention to such things long ago, and I can't think of anyone else that might have an idea of where she has gone..."
> "Hmm...I suppose I could, yes."
> Shake our head.
> "The offer is appreciated, but I don't know how much time I have. I may reconsider if the Rainbow Serpent does not know anything, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it."
> "Ah, thank you very much. I will keep this in mind."
> "For the less pressing matter, there are actually two, now that I think about it. Please take this as a curiosity rather than a criticism, but may I ask how often the statues in Hero's Square are cleaned?"
> "Ah. I suppose that explains why there are remnants of cleaning material left on parts of King Pendragon's statue but none of the statues around it."
> Nod.
> "Makes sense."
> "One other thing, yes. What can you tell me about this 'Warlord' I have heard about?"
>"Her name would be a good start."
> "Is there another Warlord threatening Apex?"
> "What other ones are there, then? Reimu only mentioned the one."
> Look a bit sheepish.
> "Ah. My apologies."
> "Very well. Regardless, about this Warlord Teru, do we know her motives? It is strictly a desire to conquer and unite, or does she harbor some sort of grudge?"
> Nod.
> "And how far away is she? I heard she resides in some region name that was new to me and escapes me at the moment."
> "In which cardinal direction?"
> "Hmm, I see."
> Frown.
> "If only I had the time...it would be interesting to investigate this person for myself."
>"After all, time is my main issue, since i shouldn`t even be here."
> Look at Flan with a smile.
> "I assisted with solving a few incidents in my day, Young Mistress. Even if our house is gone, I am still loyal to it, and the land where it resided. Threats to that land are threats to my family and friends."
> "But do not worry. I shall only take up defenses if necessary, unless the situation changes drastically."
> Look back to Kanako and Sir Ector.
> "I believe that exhausts my immediate curiosities. Is there any advice you may have for someone like me, who has little-to-no idea what she is in for in a place like this?"
> Chuckle a bit.
> "Of course, of course. Though the lack of fighting is intriguing. Does this mean I should refrain from revenge on pickpockets?"
> "Merely retrieving my possessions, if I have my way. I do not expect a confrontation to go south, but I suppose it is possible."
> "Excellent. I do hope pickpocketing is not a common issue here, though, and that I was simply the victim of bad luck."
> "Very good. And, ah, before I leave, is there anything I can do for the two of you? Bearing in mind that I do not know how long I will be here."
> "You are both quite welcome. Thank you both very much for your time."
> "A pleasant day to you both. And best wishes for all of our futures, should we not meet again in this time period."
> Exit the Diet building using the way we came in.
> When we came through what was presumably the Gensokyo Ward, did we see anyone remotely fitting the description of the Rainbow Serpent?
> Look to Flan.
> "Well, would you like to visit Shou, or should we strike while the iron is hot and investigate the Avalon Ward for the Rainbow Serpent?"
> What did we need at Shou's again?
> Based on the Diet's directions, which way is the Avalon Ward from here?
> "Mmm. I am sorry to say that I think I am best served finding this Rainbow Serpent before she vanishes again."
> "Let us head...this way, I think it was."
> Left
>Approach someone who doesn't appear to be particurlarly busy.
>Approach the first woman.
>"Excuse me."
> "I am presently looking for the Rainbow Serpent. Has she been by here today?"
> "I see..."
> Nod.
> "In that case, can you tell me where Sir Ector resides? I believe she may have made her way their in pursuit of some spirits."
> Look to Flan.
> "Would you happen to know where that is, Young Mistress?"
> Turn back to the woman and look a bit sheepish.
> "My apologies, but I am afraid we don't know where that is."
> Curtsey.
> "Thank you, Miss. Have a pleasant day."
> Head down the road in the direction indicated, keeping an eye out for a smithy.
>What can we make of the unidentified object ?
>A bat-winged youkai.... can we see it's face ? If not circle him/her and have a look while maintaining a respectable distance and not staring at her.
> ...That's not Petite, is it?
> Are we capable of reversing time for inanimate objects?
> Let's at least start walking in that direction, since we have to go that way anyway.

I'd rather not use time-stop resources on something like this if it can be avoided (and we have plenty of other options, which I'm still weighing). In all seriousness, we could try to interrupt their conversation somehow (shouting, touching one of them on the shoulder, etc.), but that'd probably irritate the both of them and make them less receptive to any form of conversation, let alone inquiry.
