What mistake did Sakuya make, though? o_O At this point it sound like some outside force was out to get her, rather than this being the result of anything Sakuya herself did.

I'm all for style in these games, but it feels bizarre in this case.

Meiling's desperate attempt to find us in a way is partially our blame, we should have resisted that outside force or something, yet we didn't and as so our absence made all these set of events happen, we might not be the catalyst or had any intention, but we still can't run from the fact we failed our duties both a maid for Mistress and as Meiling's companion, so we hold a part of the guilt and should apologize for all the grief our absence caused.

Edit: I dunno if this makes sense to you, it's just how i think she would feel like, i have a tendency to do stuff like this, and i'm happy with it cause it allows me to understand people better.
