Nah, you're all a little off. Have you ever noticed how HRtP is the only game where Reimu's yin-yang orbs are the standard "black and white" color scheme? In all future games they've been red, purple, or some other crazy color scheme. Kind of like...

And once it gains enough power, then Reimu will have to fight her own power. At zero power of course, since her options would be the enemy.

Suwako was really the one who defeated Kanako in the battle for the Moriya Shrine. But Kanako was such a sore loser about it that Suwako gave her the seat of primary deity. They then changed the story to make others believe that Kanako was victorious. Plus, being a god in power's too much work anyway. Acting like a frog all the time is more fun!

Aya Syameimaru is responsible for the disappearance of every character who never reappears again. All new Gensokyans are blackmailed, and if they don't pay up, they seem to vanish somehow. This is why Reimu is poor - she shells out regularly to Aya just to stay in the game, let alone as a playable character.

Satori IS Koishi. She just flipped her clothing inside out, made a greenish-white wig, and stole Iku's hat (dying the ribbon yellow :V). It was her excuse for leaving Chireiden for once and finally got over her shyness to try to befriend Reimu and Marisa once again.
