4 scenes left and I have done ALL THE SCENES in StB on 90 fps.

the scenes in question are 10-6 (BAHAHAHA. BUBBLE DODGING AND 150% SPEED. AWESOME :V well, it isn't, yet it's fun enough, uh...)
10-8 (I don't even...2nd phase kills me way too often),
Ex-4 (blergh, BoWaP at super speed. SURE IS FUN :V) and
Ex-6 (I just can't fucking deal with it. I NEVER got the timing down that's oh so apparent)

so yeah, look forward to me finishing this. seeing how I haven't uploaded anything yet, I might as well dump all the scenes in one video. makes it easier to choose the music, too...I suppose.

And Malky, that no vert PCB Phantasm was pretty damn fun to watch. Nice!

As for me, I got a 1DNB ReimuA Satori with the death on DBDB. I'm satisfied with that as DBDB is simply beyond my capabilities right now. I got an overall 2DNB Stage 4, because I forgot to restream the very last wave of the green bullets. Oh well.
Also scored another capture of Cat's Erratic Step, but the rest of the stage was crap so :V.
And for MoF, scored my second PWG capture and my second and third Storm Day captures, so I'm fairly proud of that. Also 2 1DNB Sanae's back to back, with deaths to Guest Stars in the first and Moses Miracle in the second. Sigh. I wish I could just combine those two to make a perfect Sanae haha.

Actually now that I look at it, that was a pretty productive night. I'm fairly proud of myself.

alright people, here it is. I cleared the last 4 scenes today and man, 10-6 was a pain in the ass. everything else went "quickly" (aka less than 500 shots). BoWaP came pretty close to 500, though. for some reason, the same tapping rhythm I used all the times EX-6 killed me, worked today, so I suppose we can chalk that one up to sheer luck of some sorts. anyway, here's the video. Excluding stage 4 because...just read the video description. I'll upload it right after this, anyway.

I don't know how it happened, but on a random UFO LNB Stage 4 run, I managed to time out both Sinkable Vortex and Ghost Anchors. Not as hard as I thought it would be. The rest of the replay is crap, but whatever haha.

Major congrats for clearing all StB scenes at 90FPS! Good luck trying to play stuff at 60fps now!

Hadn't played since december 2010. Never 1cc'd a game on lunatic.
Today I spent about 6 hours practicing MoF's stages on Lunatic..

I captured most of the spellcards from stage 1 to stage 5, most of them for the first time, many of them more than once.
The ones I didn't were:
Stage 2 Bad Luck Sign "Biorhythm of the Apotropaic God",
Stage 3 Water Sign "Kappa's Great Illusionary Waterfall"
Stage 4 "Peerless Wind God" and Cork Sign "Terukuni Throughout the World"
Stage 5 "Wonder "Night with Overly Bright Guest Stars"

Also I've captured for the first time a Kanako spellcard that wasn't the first. It was Divine Husk "Divining Crop"... All you have to do is pay attention to the blue bullets..

I have to say I didn't expect any of this to happen hehe.

That statement has nothing to do with the games in any way. It's just that Kogasa and Shou, my two favorite characters are present in DS and not in StB. That's really all.

Anyway, I decided to work on DS 90 FPS and I have now made it through the first four levels without too much difficulty and I'm not at Level 5 where Electrified Nyuudou is being unspeakably annoying. :V

But sooner or later I'll be lucky enough that no dense clusters of lasers is being fired in my direction since reacting properly to something like that is completely out of the question when dealing with three unfamiliar movement speeds that I need to switch between. Excuse? Maybe but it's messing me up. It even made reacting properly to Japanese Foliage Spider a bit hard. But hey, it matches it's annoying factor with the satisfaction when you win so it's worth it.

EDIT: Okay I got it. Level 5 is now down. For those who might be interested, some stats:

Electrified Nyuudou: 274 shots
Shirikodama: 55
Momiji's final scene: 62
Murasa's non-spell: 72
Murasa's final spell: 112

I dunno how the shot count got so high on Murasa's final attack since it didn't feel like that long time but ehh... what can I do. Why am I posting stats? Well because it seems I've taken a fancy to humiliating myself by posting crappy statistics about myself.

EDIT: Okay, Level 6 down. Mostly not too bad but Adamant Helix sucks Yuugi's tits. I don't know what ZUN thought when he made it. Usually not that hard to pass but became really annoying when you have to move unfocused around her at 90FPS since that final circling is something that is annoying at even 60FPS. On to Shou after break time.

Silly zengeku, what did you think I was planning to do next? after recording the first three stages, which are already done, I planned to continue. that would happen today :V After figuring out how to stop fraps being a dick by putting the game down to 60 fps every fucking time.

thanks for the congratulations! please wait patiently for DS. that one will probably take longer. especially since I'll leave for home on thursday, so I cannot play anything after UFO until I get back (due to the data being in a completely different place and shit. I will still fool around in earlier games, though. hooray for massive mp3-player :V)

well, I can only continue if I find a way to stop the fps drop. or else you will se 90 fps replays with 60 fps speed. and that's stupid. I already tried recording at 120, so it would drop to 90, but it just skips 90 and falls down to regular speed.

has anyone else ever had this happen? fraps is a cunt. that's all I have to say about this.

I can't use Fraps here to record smoothly at 60fps because my laptop's HD is too slow and the recording would slow everything down. Though I got better results with Dxtory. You can also try Bandicam, which gave me much better results than Hypercam to non-3D-accelerated things, though I haven't tried it for Touhou yet.

also, the thing is it worked for StB (most of the time, anyway), so I am not sure if that's really it. Of course, you could be right, regardless.

I was able to record at 120 FPS using the recording method outlined here, though I record using raw capture, resulting in 60 GB files for a half hour recording. But hey, that's what compression is for.

it's probably the best solution, though. now, is someone willing to record the DS replays for me? stage 1 and 2 somehow worked, but after that...uhh...yeah. I'd zip each stage and upload them on mediafire. you'd get them all in one go, though. it'd be silly to send each stage individually. so whoever feels like doing it hands up :V I'd be very grateful.

@IHNN that seems awfully complicated. it's worth a try, but I promise nothing, considering I have vista 64-bit. and the thread says he doesn#t know if it works with that

also, my StB video was over 60 GB, too. fraps recording are humungous, after all. plus virtual dub makes them ever larger after appending.

It's not actually as complicated as it seems, the lagarith codec is completely optional and you can just use raw video.
SCFH DSF is used to select the program for capturing, and virtualdub, seeing as you already have it, is just a matter of setting capture dimensions/framerate and setting its source to SCFH.

Tried out a few Last Words tonight. I don't consider myself an amazing, or even "very good" player (I can't even play on Lunatic yet :V) so I'm pretty happy about these captures which came faster than expected. ~~lolkeine~~

Especially Deflation World, which looked incredibly hard at first. I'm surprised I was able to figure it out so quickly.
